Welcome to World History

By studying historical events and various cultures from around the globe, a student will gain a more diverse understanding of the world we live in, and varying worldviews. 

Course Outline 

The chronological time to be covered during the course will be from 1750 to the present. The units of study are - Rise of Democratic Ideas, Atlantic Revolutions, Age of Industrialism and Imperialism, World Wars, Cold War, and Current Events post 1990. 

  1. Rise of Democratic Ideas

  3. The Age of Industrialism and Imperialism
  4. World War I & World War II
  5. Cold War
  6. Current Events post 1990

Grading

Grades will consist of the following:

Homework & In Class Work – 25%
Interactive Notebook -35%
Quizzes & Test – 30%
1st Semester Final – 10% 

100% - 90% = A    89% - 80% = B  79% - 70% = C  69% - 60% = D 59% - 0% = F
